There are many factors that lead to youth violence, and they must be addressed in different ways.
S.A.V.E is organizing a youth led forum in which we will discuss violence related issues and solutions to these issues. The forum will provide an opportunity for youth and families to collaborate with police leadership, youth advocates and health care professionals to receive education, information and resources that help decrease violence and promote healthy outcomes. Preventing youth violence takes all of us. Working together to find ways to keep our young people safe and help them thrive.
At the forum, a drug and gang awareness presentation will be made by the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit – (BC’s Anti Gang Agency). Youth violence related issues and solutions to these issues will also be discussed. As the youth of today and the leaders of tomorrow, we need to step up and acknowledge that violence is not the solution. Let’s get together and discuss solutions that address these issues!
